In case you didn’t see the Season 3 patch notes, the Warzone team decided to nuke the battle royale’s arsenal alongside the Verdansk map itself by nerfing several weapons, buffing others, and introducing a couple of new guns. For the first time in a little while, it feels like the Warzone meta isn’t entirely “solved.” Still, it’s already clear that there are a few guns that are quickly separating themselves from the pack as the best overall options. So if you’re looking to drop into Warzone Season 3 without having to spend too much time experimenting with the various new and improved weapons, here’s a quick look at 10 of the best guns in the game right now.

Call of Duty Warzone Season 3: Best Guns

FFAR 1

The FFAR 1 was a dominant gun heading into Season 3, and while it was obviously nerfed pretty hard from what it was before, changes to some of its better attachments mean that the weapon is still one of the most annoying in the game.

Grau 5.56

This is another one of those weapons that have been solid for quite some time and indirectly benefited from some of the recent changes that made its closest competitors a little worse. The biggest advantage the Grau offers is the ability to consistently fight at longer ranges with an AR that also doesn’t fall apart in close-to-mid range combat scenarios. If you want to play at a distance without going full sniper, this is still one of your best options.

M13

In a game where versatility can make all the difference, the M13’s usefulness in nearly every scenario still makes it one of the best guns in Warzone. One of the worst things you can say about the M13 is that it’s hardly the best option in close combat situations, but this gun’s stability and consistency mean that you’re usually going to feel pretty confident with it by your side in most gunfights.

Krig 6

This is going to be a controversial entry into any “best guns” list given that its biggest buff amplified the gun’s headshot multiplier while not drastically benefiting its overall damage output.

PPSh-41

Well, it certainly didn’t take long for the PPSh-41 to establish itself as the best overall SMG in Warzone. What this gun lacks in damage it more than makes up for with its rate of fire and large magazines. In fact, there’s a fairly good chance you won’t notice how low this weapon’s damage output really is given how fast it can fire and how many bullets it can hold.

Mac-10

The Mac-10 and LC10 are performing at about the same level right now, but when push comes to shove, most Warzone players are still siding with the Mac-10. You’ll probably be disappointed if you turn to this gun for anything other than close-range combat, but considering just how well it performs in those scenarios, we highly doubt that you’ll be disappointed for long with what you get out of this one.

Stoner 63

The Stoner 63’s status as the only LMG on this list does say a little about where that weapon class is at the moment, but it’s more of a testament to the viability and power of this gun over all of its closest competitors.

Kar98k

It’s always a little controversial to recommend the Kar98 given that the gun is a sniper rifle that doesn’t excel at long-range duels. Actually, the Kar98 is not really an ideal long-range gun in a lot of ways. However, the Kar98 is one of the rare sniper rifles that you can turn to in the heat of a moment and use it to win battles before they have the chance to begin. You’re going to have to choose your shots carefully with this one, but as a longer range option that doesn’t require you to commit to that sniper lifestyle, it’s a unique and powerful weapon.

HDR

Early reports suggest that the new Swiss K31 could soon find itself at the top of any sniper tier list, but the HDR is getting the nod for the moment given that it’s still the more “proven” option for what it does. Simply put, this is a slow, heavy, and devastating long-range weapon. It hits big and misses big, but its high bullet velocity means that it’s actually a little easier to hit moving targets with this gun than it is with some other sniper rifles that offer similar functionality.

Renetti

No Warzone player loves having to rely on a pistol, but since there are many situations where you’ve got to at least include one in your loadout, then you might as well choose the Renetti.

Call of Duty Warzone Season 3: Best Loadouts and Attachments

The jury is still out when it comes to the best loadouts for a lot of Warzone‘s best Season 3 guns, but if you’re looking for some of the most proven options so far, then you’ll want to drop into Verdansk with these attachments:
